Lime-flavored Crush has appeared in my area (northwestern Kentucky) in the last week or so. I found it to be rather refreshing and not as acidic as some of the other flavors that Crush has offered over the years. Has this appeared in your area? If so, what do you think of it? I'd like to see Crush come out with a gentle lemon flavor, one that is not so acidic. The less-acidic Lime Crush is a good example of this desire. Years ago, Stewart's produced a now defunct Lemon-Meringue flavored soda that tasted just like the meringue on lemon-meringue pie. I'd like to see something like that again.

Love lime. Is it 7-up type lemon-lime-ish or pure lime? Nesbitt's used to have the best lime in the 70's.

That sounds good. I hope I can find it around central KY. BTW, I've never thought of Henderson as being in northwestern KY, but considering that the Ohio River is our northern border, it makes sense.

One of the reasons I like the Sonic Lime-ades and Slushes, they have a good tart lime flavor with the added sweetness of the cherry or strawberry added in. One of thos big Hiway 44 size, when they are half-price each afternoon, is a great pick-me-up, especially on a hot day. I grew up with the various Crush Sodas. As a kid I liked them, now I find them way to sweet.

Hey Al, can you remember having an Orange Crush in a brown bottle? I can remember sitting on the fender of my Dad's car and drinking an Orange Crush from a brown bottle after the funeral of a great uncle. My Dad said I was 4 yrs old at the time.

Many years ago during one of my beer can hunts my brother found a brown Crush bottle; IIRC it was ribbed and the logo was in a diamond. Grape Crush is OK but I've never cared for the others. To me one of the best things in the world is the first drink from an ice-cold orange Crush on a hot summer day. Brad

Jman, I grew up in SoCal so my 'Crush' experience as a kid was in L A. All I recall were the clear glass bottles. But a lot of memories about that era no long jump to the front when I try to recall !!

I first saw lime Crush in 2007 in Ontario, on the road from London to Toronto. I'm glad they're bringing it to the States!

You know, thinking about this last night, that might have been a Lime Fanta that I picked up in Canada. Hrm.

It was probably Lime Crush you found in Canada, they've had that flavor for awhile.

In the two weeks since I first made that post, I've guzzled about three or four six packs of Lime Crush. I haven't gotten tired of it yet. I find it a more pleasant lime taste than any other lime soda I've found before. I sure hope it's not a limited edition.

Yesterday (10/9/10) Our Walmart had Grape, Orange and 'Red' (Strawberry I think) CRUSH on a large end-cap in the beverage section. CRUSH seems to be increasing it's shelf space in the Corydon, IN WalMart Store.

wheregreggeats.com Is this treasure HFCS, or sugar ??? The Crush brand not only uses HFCS in their regular sodas, they use it in their so-called "DIET" sodas. I had the misfortune of discovering this when I got a diet Crush from a soda machine, and didn't see that the second ingredient after "carbonated water" was "high fructose corn syrup." Bart

So which has been around longer, "Crush" or "Nehi"? Growing up I remember strawberry, grape, orange, and peach "Nehi" now all I see are these flavors in "Crush" with the addition of pineapple and the exception of peach.

I bought a 12 pack here in Denver last week. It's not bad. Limey and very sweet. I'm not dissing it but I wouldn't buy it again. It is a limited edition for Halloween (it does have a "ghoulish" bright green hue).
