Lleechef does it again!

YAHOO! The lovely and talented lleechef has just been selected as resident Chef at the Nordstrom's store here in Anchorage!(to run their Cafe)
For you that don't know, Nordstrom's is a VERY upscale store for clothing & accessories. www.nordstrom.com

Good for you Lisa. The very next time I am passing through Anchorage I shall
be sure to stop for the "speciality" of the day. I just hope it is salmon
and not bar-b-q !!

We have a nice Nordstom here in Tampa but no restaurant. The lovely Mary Ann
looked at a little pocketbook (forgot the name) for going out in the evening
(for her, not me)-----the saleslady was very nice, but when she quoted $3000
I realized I was in a big league store and I belonged in the minors.

Thank you everyone! Geeze. It doesn't seem like such a big deal to me. I start on Thursday and yes, the discount is 33%. I have more shoes and more clothes than I could possibly wear. But it is going to be a fun job! Again, thanks everyone for your good wishes.

When I lived in Seattle the home of Nordstroms, it seemed that every business involving any type of customer interation modeled themselves after Nordtstroms.

Sounds like you have landed a really fun job. Most of the department store cafes are long gone so it is really nice that you are going to experience this atmosphere. I can remember wearing a nice hat and gloves, right out of school, when I went to dine in department store cafes.............what fun it was!

Everybody has been congratulating you, but my congratulations go mostly to Nordstrom's - they are getting one of the best chefs anywhere!! Good luck in your new position!
