Lobster 4.99/lb!

My local Fairway Market had lobster and filet mignon for 4.99/lb. Yesterday we had lobster for dinner!
I purchased two, each about 3 1/2 lbs.

agnesrob,  Wow!!!!  Great looking dinner, and great pics also.  That is one huge claw!

And that's only part of that claw! This year was a good year for lobster.

That really looks Great !! Thanks for sharing. We get good buys on Beef and Pork,and sometimes even Catfish, but never on Shellfish or Lobster!

I'm jealous.  We land-locked states never have those kinds of deals.

Actually their total weight was 7.17lb.  The one on the left was probably a little less than 31/2 and th other a little more. It always amazes me how much meat I can get out of ones that are more than 3lbs. I filled a 2 cup container with the "little bits" from the bodies and legs. Well, I did snack on a few lgs while I was deshelling these beauties!

Great Looking Lobsters,  I was in the Paramus Store Today and picked up some Beef Ribs
which I will Smoke tomorrow.

I'm jealous too, and I live on an island in the Northeast.  I can't get lobster for less than 4 times that price.
