There was an old cooking show on PBS where dinner was served over some fine, elegant Fats Waller piano tunes...of course you could always slip in 'Hold Tight (Want some Seafood Mama)'.

Thank you all for your apropos, entertaining and quite clever replies. Almost all of them would suite a lobster dinner. It would be fun if we could come together for a lobster feast! It’d be even more special if i95 would put on that costume!! Bill

I was thinking along the lines of a good ol' fashioned Maine Sea Chanty Think of it this way- Blues and BBQ John Cougar Mellencamp and BPT's Billy Joe's NY State of Mind and Lox and Bagels (reading the NY Times of course) and Pearl Jam's "10" Cd with a cup a strong Seattle Joe

After a long search I have stumbled onto a great lobster eating CD. It is “Beyond the Sea” – Frank Chacksfield – Decca of London, England. Included are: Ebb Tide, How Deep is the Ocean, Stranger on the Shore, The Sea (La Mer), Sleepy Lagoon and Victory at Sea! Plus a few more! This may be the ultimate in Lobster eating accompaniment! Enjoy the feast! Bill

There's actually a book you could probably get at your library, Tom Moon's 1,000 Recordings to Listen to Before You Die. In it, there are lists of recommended songs and artists to play while setting the mood for dining, parties, etc.

huh, no mention of the soundtrack to Disney's The Little Mermaid. No one wants to eat a lobster to Under the Sea?

Many great suggs here. Yall beat me to tha punch for all I first thought of... and more I didn't. Sinatra's version of "Old Cape Cod". Is there no Elvis song that fits w/ a lobster dinner? Hmm, who did that song; Give me lobsters and beer For dinner every day of tha year And I'll be fine Oh wait..... Joe
