Local hardware supply store.

Well I have been trying for a while to find a regular daytime setup place. Its been a dead end. Driving to my regular job (2nd shift) I saw a place and called the manager. He said cool come in tomorrow. Talked to him today and Im setting up on the carpark tomorrow (Sat) as far as he is concerned I can open every day. I went home and started washing the trailer!! I have DRiven past this place every day for the last year and a half. The thought of setting up there never crossed my mind! I realised it can be in front of my nose and I still cannot see it! I mean this place is on our loop . Its a remodeled Kmart building it is on the main road into town ! Its a huge hardware/cowboy/farmer supply place thats busy every day. Better still no cash - nothing - he just wants something out side so Ill be doing breakfast and lunch. If I can find some help I will have someone run it through the evening too. They are open 7am to 9pm except sun 7 to 6! So I am going to try to do this everyday. As such I wont have much time to dedicate to the hot dog bun toaster project so I would like to sell those and focus on concessions. Pm me if you would like one , there are only three and I am willing to sell the drawing and give you the manufacturer I had them made at ( for a tiny amount). I will post some photos of my setup tomorrow. !! I have to admit Im excited!

Well I setup at the hardware store , I sold about 10 hotdogs and a bowl of beans. Had one or two little problems - 1 a dirtdobber had filled in the main propane line! 2 the mini cooker I had for the water pan was laaaame! So I sat the water pan ontop of the crepe cooker and went on. Heres some photos! There is a view of the trailer from the store exit, one looking out from the trailer and one of the crepe cooker/ water pan setup. Just to the left you can just see the side of the coffee maker I rigged. I left it cooking and made hot water for clean up. I really need signs , I only have banners that say funnel cakes etc etc. So I need something to make me noticeable not only from the store but from the main highway. I had to close early as my son way playing soccer at 12. But tomorrow I'll be at it bright and early. I need to get my generator fixed were I am it would'nt be a problem to run it although its nice not having any noise apart from the water pan simmering!

Hey Jacks, is it possible to get real close to the front door so everyone walks by you. Eye contact, and people just looking to see what you have could help a lot and maybe give you a chance to say Hi to everyone.....................Hope it works out...........Bill

Well I took the trailer to the HD today and renewed the permit. Hard to believe its been a year already. Took my "smores" banner back to the sign shop and asked them to replace "more" with "nack" $14 hooray! Talked to the local chamber about doing the "Holiday in Paris" weekend here- im in. Its free so its worthwhile, if anyone fancies coming to Paris its a down town event on the 11th&12th dec just give Becky Semple a call at the Paris chamber. There are more opportunities earlier in the month too. They have a Santa , trolley rides, and they rent a slide that a snow machine blows snow on- in Texas!
