According to Newsday the famous paper of famous Long Island
Nathan's Famous is only one of the best hot dog joints on
the 126 mile parking lot. Today's edition lists all the good
one's including the Bonanza in "Err-stir Bay" where I have been
keeping them in business low these many years.

the ancient mariner, I thought The Island was 108 miles. I always called it the 108 mile Strip mall. But I defer to you and will now call it The 126 Mile Strip mall.

I am working in Westbury now. Do you think any of the places mentioned are worth fighting the traffic? Thanks, Joe

Thanks for the link up Lads---I have no idea how to link to anything.

As for fighting traffic and wasting $4.00 a gallon gas for a hot dog
is something I would not do. But, if I happen to be near one and it
is hot dog eatin' time of day I will go a mile out of my way. The
Bonanza on the main drag in Oyster Bay has feed me and my family
forever, but I don't go there on purpose.

I was on the Island the first week in May to visit the family.
I see the Town House is still on Jericho----I thought they were
going to tear it down and put up a Lowe's ----- then I drove
into the "One Way, Exit Only" ramp to CVS which used to be my
favorite Chinese Restaurant--Mei Ting. Made great Martinis
there--always had one while waiting for my take out order.

Two dogs, with mustard and kraut. Please !!!!!! Oh, and a Coke !!!

of course the Long Island paper would do an article about L.I. hot dogs.
