Looking for Slugburger Ideas

I have the opportunity in a few months to be spending some time in the wonderful land of Central TN and have the chance to make some side trips.  I am thinking of doing a slugburger side trip.

Here are my hopefuls

White Trolley - Corinth
Slugburger Cafe - Corinth
Borrum's Drug Store - Corinth
Abe's Grill - Corinth

Any other suggestions out there??

I have only visited Borrum's Drug Store.  Really neat Roadfood atmosphere, but didn't care for the slugburger itself.  Maybe, I had something else in mind and it didn't taste like what I expected.  Would love to give it another shot someday.

White Trolly and Borrum's seem to be the best of the list I have found so far, I know that the area has many hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

If I was going to Corinth, my first stop would be Abe's Grill for some chocolate gravy.

Before you get too excited about one of these things... I had good reason to expect that I was not going to enjoy my visit to White Trolley.  I didn't.  Slugburgers are awful.

Much like Faygo Redpop, however (a deeply nasty soda that tastes like carbonated Robutussin), I would be perfectly happy to visit Borroum's or Pat's Cafe or Johnnie's Drive-In or some place in Booneville and watch somebody else eat them just for the spit take.

Travel Channel has a show called Burger Land which is done by George Motz. One episode is titled Old Miss Burgers and he visits a few places in N/C Ms.

Joey Chestnut got beat out for the worldchampionship of slugburger eating, this year.  Joey ate 30 slugburgers bun and all and the winner ate 31.  Chestnut said he had never eaten a slugburger before the contest, but said next year (now that he knows what they are) he will be back and will shatter the record.

on a side note... How would you like to be crowned Queen Slug??

Heartbreak - I know going in what I am looking for.  I have been here before and actually like slugburgers and diet faygo too.  I just want to get a sample of the best.  I play on spending most of my time at Shiloh.

Jim - Prince's is always a favorite while in Nashville (although I am liking 400 degrees better)  I will start my Smashville area list in a few days.  I already have 8 or 9 places that I need to visit or revisit.

Food - Oh come on you dont like ground slugs??

Cliff - You know when it is and the spare room is available

It is simply amazing when I read reviews of the various places that offer slugburgers.  The ones that really get me are the ones so grossed out they kill the ratings of a place.

I read one review that stated the burger was the worst thing they had ever eaten, how could they mix breadcrumbs or something with the meat.

People just dont use their heads for anything but a hat rack.

Some of these places look roadfood worthy I am drooling over CF Penn's or Nesmith's already.

    Damn is it Nov yet.

I am beginning to think this may be more than one day trip!!!

My list is growing and growing.  Many of the places look roadfood worthy so I can't wait to hit the road.

So any other ideas for this area??

While you are moseying around this neck of the woods, make sure you stop in at Westside Bar-B-Que in New Albany, MS.  The bbq is nothing to write home about, but they put out some seriously good homemade pies and cakes.

Sorry I can't help with more slugburgers tips.

I saw a picture of their pie case while doing research and it was on my non slug burger stops  along with Brewers drive in for pie and dessert and lloyd's Harper Rd Cafe.

I am thinking more than 2 days are needed for this quiet little section of the wilderness.
