Looking for breakfast hot dog.

Severaly years ago, I bought a ham/scrambled egg "hot dog" at a C-store. Actually it was off the roll-grill. Just had to try it and it was pretty good. Now I'm trying to find some "breakfast hot dog" ideas. Anyone ever heard of the ham/scrambled egg thing? Other ideas? Thanks, Graeme

Spinaltap, you're right. I think hot dogs are great at any hour. Unfortunately, many folks have a problem with that.

If not, then you're missing out on one of the finer things in life. Just cook up some pancakes, wrap a hot dog in one, eat it, and repeat as necessary. Mmmmm, good. If you care to venture further, try cooking up some patty-style breakfast sausage and home fries and wrapping those up in the "blanket". My mother used to tell me how they would cook those for her brothers to take with them when they went hunting. They sure do stick to your ribs. Nothing better for a camp breakfast in winter, by the way. -Hugh

Add to the "pig in a blanket": Take a dog, slice it crosswise into small rounds...pour your pancake batter in the pan, then place the round dog slices in the batter, as you would apples, or blueberries. Flip the pancake and let 'em grill a bit - delicious!

There is a place in Las Vegas that makes Hamburgers in the shape of a hot dog for a roller grill and they do a mexican taco thingy too. I found their site on the web one day. Truckers say they find them in truck stops. \]Later Cowboy Bob 2

A gas station mini-mart in our town has one of those hot dog roller machines and ground ham and cheese in a casing is always on in the mornings. I've never tasted one but I see a lot of people buying them.
