Looking for websites of forgotten chains

Anyone have links to long forgotten restaurant chains? I love to read the history of the early days of the restaurant industry, epecially if there are pictures to go along. I have links to Sandy's Hamburgers, Stucky's, Red Barn Restaurants, Burger Chef, Biff Burger, Lendy's but I am always looking for more. Since Burger Boy/Greasy Spoon magazine went by the wayside, I am looking more to the web for my "history" fix. Looking for sites of any restaurant chains, local or national. Burgers, chicken, hot dogs, donuts, anything. Especially those from the 1950s and 60s. Thanks. Terry

Perhaps the fact that these are forgotten chains is why there is so little activity here! Conrad

I do notice however, that the original poster has not been back and posted here since we offered our help. I wonder if he/she was just trolling?

Believe it or not, we are somewhat of a "forgotten" chain, http://www.gloriajeans.com In fact, I have never even heard of it until I moved to Irvine and started working here.

quote: Thank you Michael for posting this link. I miss HoJos Clam Rolls and have tried to make them at home several times (even trying to cut a hot dog bun square to resemble HoJo's rolls)Looks like a roadtrip to NY might be in order.
