Lunchtime Trivia?

When I get my truck up and running, I am thinking about having a trivia question every day related to the theme of the truck (see my screen name). Anybody can answer the question by writing their name, answer, and "codeword" of their choosing (for verification purposes) on a provided slip of paper. At the end of the day, All correct answers will be put into a hat and a winner will be drawn. The answer to the question and the name of the winner will be displayed on the side of the truck. The winner will receive a coupon good for a free meal (entree, side, drink, and dessert) with no expiration date. The coupon will have a random ticket number and will match a stub kept on the truck to avoid scamming. So, what do you think? Is it doable?

I was thinking the same thing. gives the customer a feeling of friendlyness and a converstion piece. I found out to you shake a lot of hands and that brings a lot of people back.

I was thinking that if you get them to come back the next day to see if they won they'll probably buy something.

i am considering doing a "purple hearts free for life" campaign..... in light of previous discussions on certain posts, i do have much respect for the grunt on the ground, and appreciate what they are doing.... and i do feel for the ones that come back injured.... plus i think its a great way to generate valuable "face time" with all in green... lol, always an angle...

yea, stuff like this is always a good idea...heck, maybe you'll get some trivia buffs to return for the trivia rather than the food...lol.... A whole free lunch a day though, doesn't that seem like a lot ? I would probably stipulate no more than one win per person per calender month or something like that....
