MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY! Sun, 12/25/05 1:44 AM (permalink)
I have to work on Christmas, but I hope all of you have a wonderful, SAFE Christmas. Many blessings to all of my friends here on RoadFood...and may you all recognize the blessings when they come your way. ;-)

BCC, I echo your sentiments. In a world gone berserk with people telling each other how to speak, I cherish the opportunity of telling the people I care about that I don't care what they believe, I just want them to have the best possible future. Hatred is easily spread; affection is both easier and more loving.

Bless you all, my friends, regardless of where you seek or find your blessings.

before I wish all we Roadfooders a very Merry Christmas....... I would first like to wish a Merry Christmas and to thank all of our wonderful patriotic military heroes that are away from home today doing a job that may cost them their lives and never forgetting that every one of these heroes stood up and volunteered to do this for us.
and to our President, George W Bush their Commander in Chief who has the courage to take the first steps in bringing democracy and peace to the world................... God bless you great heroic people............

I can't believe it! We agree on something. Merry Christmas to you, too. But don't foreget the men and women of the United States Coast Guard.

...and to our President...please finally realize what a collosal mistake this war was, and support our troops by bringing them home, out of harm's way, where they belong.

Our power went out at 5 a.m. yesterday (Christmas) and did not come back on until 6 a.m. this morning. I ended up having to go into the hospital to work, where the power was also out all morning. When the power there finally came back on the computers were out. I didn't get to start working until 5 p.m. last night and had to work until 10 p.m. last night.

Thank heaven I had showered Christmas Eve night because our well goes out when the power goes out, which means no power, no shower.

Well, we still have much to be grateful for. I think of all the folks left homeless by the hurricane, and a little power outage on Christmas Day still leaves me feeling very blessed compared to so many other folks. And now I have another story to tell my grandchildren (which I hope I'll have someday).

I too remember the military overseas and their families at home. I also remember the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff (myself included) who give up not just Christmas but every holiday every year to make sure that those who are ill get the help they need. I also remember our firefighters, police officers, power company line crews, and so many others who work tirelessly to make sure we can all enjoy Christmas with our loved ones.

And for folks like me whose loved ones are thousands of miles away, I remind us all, there is no distance between hearts. God Bless!
