Macon / Dublin GA for breakfast?

I'm finding myself a little stumped looking for someplace to get some breakfast that isn't Waffle House, but is *reasonably* interstate-friendly, either in Forsyth, or further south off I-75 exits 169-165, or in downtown Macon, or further along I-16 as far as Dublin, exits 49-54. Afraid my wife is putting her foot down about my way-off-the-road places south of Macon for this trip to the coast next week, as we're firmly expected down there on the island for a scheduled lunch, and I'm to stick to the general interstate corridor without too great a detour. Can anybody help? I mean, before we end up at a Cracker Barrel or something?

What a great piece of history to Macon. I go to the downtown location as much as possible. Please have a scrambled dog with mustard and onions for me. LOL
