Billyboy, you organized a well thought out tour, with a wonderful variety of New York's best.  But that's not your biggest accomplishment here.

In a long illustrious career of writing sensational trip reports, this might have been you finest yet.  But that's not why I am writing to congratulate you.

You were responsible for a food tour that included The Travelin Man and somehow, you managed to make sure that every restaurant would be open.  For this Hall of Fame worthy accomplishment, you deserve your own tickertape parade!

Thank you, sir. Yeah, C'ville has grown quite a bit. I moved here in 1981 but am originally from New Orleans.

Really terrific report, I'd love to have been there! Thank you!

Took the words right out of my mouth!

Welcome to Roadfood!

(I love C'vl.  When I went to The University, development was a little sparse north of Barracks Rd. and ended with a golf driving range on Rio!)

Another wonderful report! These reports allow me to visit places I may never visit in person. Or, in some cases, never visit again. It is wonderful to be along for the experience--sort of. I appreciate all the work it must have taken to put all this together, billyboy. I also enjoyed all the wonderful photos you took and others who shared theirs. Very nice.

That is a remarkable occurance to have such a HUGE event and NOT GET TTMed at ANY of your stops, considering the namesake was with you.

Congrats Billy!

On a serious note, WOW, what a great weekend of friends, food and more food.

Thank you all for so many kind words.  I really did enjoy putting this together.  It was a true "labor of love".  Going to each place in person to ask questions and sample the goods was tough, real tough.

Looking forward to the next tour.  Planning some reconnaissance in Brooklyn for an all "Borough of Kings" tour next spring.

Should anyone find themselves in Gotham before then and would like a guide to show them along and find some tasty stops and cool sights, just send me a PM!!

What about the Bronx? Arthur ave would be a great tour stop.Tinos, Cassa della Mozzarella, Bronx Market, etc, etc. Hoboken also seemed to be a great Roadfood town and a hop and a skip from Manhattan

What a great report!  I love all the city photos, the signage, the interior shots--it brought back memories of trips my family used to take every year to NYC.  I haven't been since the 80s and am long overdue!

Food-wise, I so want that bread basket from Luger's, the salty pretzel croissant, and breakfast at Sylvia's.  And the cherry crumb pie.

Looks like such a fun tour--a lot of work and love went into it!

Thank you is not enough!!

You planned a fabulous day BillyBoy.  I'm not sure what I enjoyed more - the food or the people!  Thank you for all your efforts to plan a fantastic day and thank you for documenting it so beautifully so we can re-live it.

Sign me up for the next one!

Cheers!!
