Headline today on CNN.com

"Woman buys 10,000 Mars bars, drives off in limo"

Must have been a Roadfood person, right?

Bear in mind that since this happened in London, she actually bought what we would think of as 10,000 Snickers bars.

    Wouldn't a Roadfood person buy 10,000 Cherry Mashes or 10,000 Chik-a-Stix?

My favorite candy bar for years. Don't know why, but I haven't had one in a long time. I am on my way to 7-11 for one right now.

Not unless your version of Snickers doesnt contain nuts. Over here Snickers are a chocolate coated bar with peanuts, a kind of soft nougatty layer and a caramelly layer. Mars Bars have thicker chocolate and a caramel/whipped nougat centre, but, nutless.

I stopped chasing MARS Bars when they changed the contents from nuts on top to nuts in the content. They then merged them with the Snickers, I believe.
The bars with the nuts on top were my fav for years.

Isn't there any purity of purpose left? How about 5000 cans of potato stix w/ a truckload of MOXIE? better yet 4000 'screamin yellow zonkers' washed down with a gallon or two of Dr.Browns cream soda
                    the possibilities are endless

You mean as in, nuts being the top layer under the chocolate, right ? Cos if so, thats what we have here as Snickers. Snickers used to be known here as Marathon Bars. Then a few years back they changed the name to Snickers. Bit like Opal Fruits being changed to Starburst. Mebbe it was at the same time as the merge you are speaking of. Mars Bars stayed the same as always. Yes you can get deep fried Mars bars here ( they are coated with a batter like fish and chips ) but Ive never eaten one. I do have a chocolate weakness but Mars Bars are just too sickly for me.
