Of course it's Italian, and if it's not Neapolitan it's not apizza.

For a really great pizza read, try American Pie by Peter Reinhart.

    Hey, congrats, Michael!

Anyone who has a thousand posts has too damn much time on his hands! Get to work Michael, and you too , Grampy!

"Pizza" is American; "Apizza" is Italian , and way back in the '40s it used to be spelled that way on signs here in the Hudson Valley.

It's still spelled that way in my hometown. By the way, I am working. It's just a matter of taking a break now and then.

Should have stuck with the wiener schnitzle--Lived in Jamaica for a while and it would always puzzle me when i saw tourists in Sav---(Savannah La Mar)buy and eat some of the worst pizza and hamburgers in existance while sitting with 50 ft of some of the finest and freshest seafood on the island and pushcarts selling the original BBQ--jerk chicken and goat(my fav)--Wash it all down with a "jelly"--(green coconut--drink and dessert in one!) I will order "apizza" in Italy and within 100 miles of the Atlantic-North of D.C.!

We were with a friend that lived in Aachen and took us out to the pizza place to meet his college friends.

A real dumb blonde from my yacht club in Boston went to Italy. Upon returning I asked her if she didn't just love it there. Blondie says, "Oh, I'm SO glad to get back because every time I ordered a margarita they brought me a pizza!" They should've revoked her passport.

Please tell me that's really a joke. Please. It's too funny to actually have happened. Right? " />

I visited Italy and had pizza there...it is not the same as pizza in the USA. It was alright, but I prefer Americanized pizza.
