Gee, I dont know. Im sure everybody that works at fast food places take money and credit cards from peoples feet on a daily basis. Come on. Lets step out of this fantasy world and be honest. If I was the cashier and this happened to me, i'd be saying wtf to myself too. I wouldnt have openly said anything, but good lord. I'll be honest again and flat out tell you that I probably would not be comfortable taking anything from the foot of a person. How sanitary could that be? Whatever.

I'm sorry you wouldn't be comfortable; However, she IS a human being and should be treated with a little dignity and respect. I have seen people like her featured on TV....driving cars, giving their children haircuts, chopping veggies for salad, etc. etc. etc. I can only say that I admire their tenacity and ability to get long in a "normal" world. God bless her.

.......never mind what McDonald's did or did not do, what I would love to see is just how this lady was going to retrieve $23.59 worth of food with one foot out the window.............. she couldn't, and therefor this makes me believe this was a set up from the beginning....

Money is just about the most dirty and microbe infested thing we all come in contact with on a daily basis (let that fester a while in your craniums you germaphobes).

The odds are the person who has to clean the lavatory has cleaner hands than the cashier.

I say in the interest of public saftey (and as we all know, we just can't seem to get enough of that) we need to just refuse to give them our money[;)!

I'll be glad to take all that dirty, nasty, biologically hazardous money off your hands and you can even hand it to me with your feet...I might prefer it that way!

What, you can retrieve $23.59 worth of food with one HAND out the window? They were probably going to give her one bag at a time, much like they do with the rest of us when the order is large.

Besides, in the picture attached to the article, she has BOTH feet out the window.

According to the story they could have given the food to her son sitting in the car with her, but they refused to.

Also She probably could EASILY grab the bag of food with her toes. the bag of food wouldn't be the problem I think the trya of drinks would be. They could have easily given the food to her son, bu they did not.

I hate to shock you, but the percentage of people who do not wash their hands after using the toilet is amazingly high. So, while feet may not be particularly hygienic, I believe that you are being very naive to assume that someone's hands are likely to be more hygienic than their feet. At work, I have observed so many men who exit from the toilet stall and then head for the door without washing that I no longer touch the door handle with my bare hands.
