I stop once in awhile for an Egg Mcmuffin, and noticed that the canadian bacon on the sandwich was about 1/3 smaller than it used to be.And the price had increased. Not worried about the extra$$, but the value has diminished as well.I am not a happy camper.

I'm 2 lazy, but take the cost of food in 1970. The cost of food now, adjust for inflation. The cost of labor, insurance, rent, benfits, upkeep, franchise fees, now and compare to 1970. Adjusted for inflation food and business costs are larger then ever. The profit margin just isn't what it use to be for most business's.

Kimchee........regarding this.... "Just thinking about McDonald's now...anybody remember their ad campaign many years ago where you got change back from your dollar? You could buy a hamburger, fries and a Coke for something like 97 cents total". I am a cashier and have been for many years, and because of that damn stupid ad campaign of McDonalds, I cannot tell you how many customers say that to me in the course of a week........."just like McDonalds, change back"! I wanna reach out and slap the crap out of them for saying something that they seem to think is absolutely hilarious, and instead is utterly ridiculous and highly irritating! Just my thought for the day!! LOL

But Mickie D's is taking the cake now adays on being cheap. I ordered my usual 2 dbl cheeseburgers @ 1 buck each tonight and requested my usual extra pickles. They charged me an extra 20 cents for 2 extra pickles. I was stunned, amazed even, then ticked off. To top it off they didn't bother to give me any napkins or ketchup for my fries. Boooo to McD's!!! At our local McD's outlets there is a sign at the drive-up window that clearly says that "any" alteration to the $1 double cheeseburger will result in an extra charge. I hate pickles, and so I asked if it would cost me more to get the sandwich without pickles and the girl said that just like the sign said "any" alteration would cost more. She was polite about it and said it was a company policy. I said thanks, and just pulled the pickles off the sandwich myself.

I haven't eaten in McDonald's lately, but the one in the Schertz Walmart wasn't bad. I don't recall being charged extra for anything at McDonald's anyway. Tyson has a processing plant in Seguin. It used to be HollyFarms, but Tyson bought them out a number of years ago.Now the chicken farms around Gonzales County that were HollyFarms, now say Tyson. They also raise turkeys near the town of Gonzales and I have seen Tyson turkeys which they may get from there as well.

I love it when people are surprised by the fact that Mc'D is cheap, cr@p food. You have to expect that walking in. I tried to give it up but with young kids sometimes a Mc'D or BK is what's for dinner, but I know before reaching in my pocket that it is sh#t food that the kids love.

I stopped at a McDonalds to order 2 dbl cheese and an extra large sweet tea - a $2.89 order at pretty much every other MickeyD's. When I was given a total of over $6 I thought there must be a mistake - this franchise was charging $2.09 for the Double Cheeseburger, and $1.89 for the 42 oz soda thats 89 cents at every other McDonalds. So, I told them to cancel my order and went down the street to Jack in the Box instead.
