When you find out where to buy "fat-free oil", please let us know.

Don't tell me the McRibs aren't really ribs, either?

Geezzz, you'd expect more from such a well respected Irish place. That blatant breech of syrup’s id security could have been the McDonalds secret police searching out who stole a case of “Frozen Partially Cooked Sausage Patties” or “FPCSP”

I think that behind this bit of jest there very possibly was a lack of knowledge.

Since I have found that very many people can't distinguish between Fat, Mono-unsaturated fat, Poly-unsaturated fat, Saturated Fat, Hydrogenated Fat, Trans-Fats, Cholesterol and Triglycerides, it is very possible that the poster was confused about this issue.

For instance, I have seen many restaurants boasting that they fry their food in "Cholesterol-free vegetable oil". Since cholesterol is of animal origin, by definition vegetable oil HAS to be cholesterol-free, and that type of statement thus represents a lack of knowledge on the part of the restaurant staff member who thought up that gem of wisdom. And, I think that the general public is frequently badly informed on this topic also, thus leading me to think that behind this jest lies some misunderstanding.

Ok Tedbear, I'll bite. I meant Trans Fat, but I couldn't think of it at the time. Now will you please stop with all the technical stuff?

I'd say it represents the brilliance of a restaurant staff member who came up with the idea to cash in on the public's lack of awareness of the fact that cholesterol is "of animal origin," and of a portion of the public's desire to cut down on cholesterol.

Mr. Hoffman--You are very probably correct. After all, what did P.T. Barnum say about the public, or as he called many of them, "suckers"? I believe that you are correct that those restaurant owners may have been "as dumb as a fox".

I swiped one of the boxes and checked the ingrediants. Wow, the numerous tongue twisting list of ingrediants sound as if they belong in a chemistry lab!
This stuff can't possibly be good for you, but why does it taste so good?

Do you think they cook the Filet-o-Fish from scratch, too? Or the fries?
You mean they don't have a Filet-O-Fish tank from which they pluck live, still swimming Filet-O-Fish that jump into a tray of breading and flop around until they are coated with golden brown crumbs prior to their leaping into the fry-o-lator?

Having worked at McD's for a about a year I will tell you the real standard operating procedure. Yes the sausage was fresh daily. We would go out to the pigpen (ok, some called it the dumpster corral) and pick out a pig (ok, dead cat), slaughter it and make our sausage. The burgers were made from freshly slaughtered cow (ok, dog). There really was a filet-o-fish tank (ok, open sanitary sewer) where the fish (ok, dead rats) would be caught daily. The McNuggets were white and dark meat chicken (ok, squirrel) rolled in a special batter (ok floor sweepings) and deep fried to perfection. The french fries are lovingly grown Idaho (ok, 3 mile Island) potatoes. But the secret ingredient that held it all together was salt. Tons of salt. Natures preservative and cure all. That's why you think it tastes good. It's just salt. Now you know.

I thought they were Scottish. Isn't "Mc" Irish and "Mac" Scottish? Wait....or is it the opposite? Is it "McDonald's" or "MacDonalds." I'm getting confused......or more confused.............never mind.

I think the giveaway was the notion that someone could order the McD's breakfast each morning and not be in a cardiac unit by now.

Ever notice fast food places keep their dumpsters padlocked and behind gates. They aren't risking anyone seeing what goes into the McTerror.
