McDonald's dissappointed me
Thu, 12/27/07 10:09 AM
( permalink)
While waiting in the drive-thru this morning for my daily dose of Sausage McMuffin with egg and hash browns, I spotted some boxes outside the door. What I saw on one repulsed me "Frozen Partially Cooked Sausage Patties" ewwww here I am in line thinking of fresh pork sausage frying on the grill and then I see this? I swiped one of the boxes and checked the ingrediants. Wow, the numerous tongue twisting list of ingrediants sound as if they belong in a chemistry lab! This stuff can't possibly be good for you, but why does it taste so good?

LOL, They must be doing something right Charles Rex Arbogast, AP Hottest Chain Restaurant Winner: McDonald's Upgraded selection, improved quality and a focus on higher end consumers helped McDonalds win 37 percent of the vote. The company's soaring stock price has investors licking their lips -- the returns over the past three years have been 41 percent, 89.6 percent and 213.4 percent.

Just don't spoil the Premium coffee with wild tales! We often stop at McDonalds on the freeways mainly for a quick break and a cup of coffee. I'm sure it is free trade organic freshly roasted and ground, and probably from Jamaica.

You mean that the McShakes might not be made from hand dipped premium ice cream and fresh whole milk?

I still am not sure if Syrup posted because he was trying to give us a good laugh, or if he felt ripped off because he was buying factory-cooked frozen food that was merely re-heated. McDonalds started serving breakfast about 30 years ago. Back then, they made biscuits from scratch, they cracked eggs fresh, the pancakes were made from freshly mixed batter. Now they are merely reheating food fully or partially cooked. You can now buy the same types of items in the frozen foods case of supermarkets, under such brands as Armour. With the vast network of industrial spies we have on this forum, what breakfast items are still cooked fresh? By fresh, I am talking about items we expect to cook from the raw state at home. Obviously, items like ham are usually purchased at supermarkets fully cooked. The only thing I am still sure is freshly prepared at McDonalds is the coffee. The eggs, biscuits, sausage, all got some "help" before being heated at the local restaurant.

If someone is using your account, then either they have your login information or you are logged in on either your computer or a public computer and they are using it without your knowledge. If either of those things are true, you should either log out when you are done on this site (in the case of a shared or public computer) or you should see about changing your password.

There has been an abundance of instances recently where someone has hacked into another persons computer and made one single post on a relatively insignificant message board. This is becoming a crisis of sorts. Check Snopes if you don't believe me.

I did check Snopes, and could find nothing other than a false virus warning related to MySpace. What would be the point, and why would it be considered a crisis? How sad a life can someone possibly have if they spend the time required to hack someone simply to pretend to be them for one post on a message board? Ack. Gods, but I wish I could sleep. I cannot believe I just wasted the time, brainpower and bandwidth to look that up and post a response.

The burgers are cooked in a gadget that looks like a big sandwich press. I guess they toss the half-cooked sausage patties in it too.

LMAO! This thread cracks me up. I guess those deliciously seasoned McNuggets aren't fried in fresh fat free cooking oil at the restaurant or made from 100% White Meat Chicken Breast from Tyson either, no?

McD's is so phony they are trying to get us to stop using REAL cash. They want you to use the visa cards. PS - I don't go there- our son mentioned this factoid.

Don't know of any fast food chains that make things fresh for breakfast.Maybe Grandy's and two local San Antonio chains,Las Palapas and Taco Cabana. They make breakfast tacos and have huevos ranchos (ranch style eggs) with refried beans, potatoes and flour tortillas plates, that sort of thing. It's all about the almight dollar, not quality food at places like McDonald's.
