McDonald's shakes Mon, 11/27/06 9:57 PM (permalink)
Had to grab a quick meal earlier tonite so I went thru the drive thru at one of our two local Mickey D's. My usual order is 2 double cheeseburgers (($1.00 each, one of the only decent deals at Mickey D's) and a strawberry shake. Much to my surprise, I was informed that they no longer serve strawberry shakes. Is this a common thing amongst McD's operators or just something dumb our regional store operator has decided to do?

This is the problem with franchised restaurants. They do not have to serve all of the corporate products. I can't even get a 99 cent cheeseburger in my area, nor can I get any of the bagel breakfast sandwiches. There should be a law against this!

It's just the opposite with the McDonald's franchises back home in Kentucky. The double cheeseburger, medium fries, and medium drink are all still a dollar, and in the spring they offer an orange shake which is like sweet sweet nectar from heaven. As McDonald's goes, theyre pretty good in central KY.
