I have never understood all of the fuss over the egg mcmuffin. It is strange and spongy. I feel like I am chewing on a dogs squeeky toy when I bite into one of those things! I like their biscuits but I'm not crazy about the ones with egg. Plain sausage or sausage and cheese are my favorites.

I have one problem with McDonald's biscuits, they usually have enough grease in them to lube my van's engine & chasis. I don't know what the problem is. I used to like Hardee's biscuits but they have gone down hill as well. BK's biscuit is NASTY. Bojangles had the most consistant quality in a FF biscuit I have tried but they have many off days as well. Just my humble thoughts.

I too was disappointed in the McGriddle..I don't know why but I didn't expect the bread part to be quite so soggy... but I finished it because I was hungry and I do like sweet and savory together.. but I guess I really expected some crunch. I do love their egg cheese & bacon biscuit though.. As for the BK veggie, I really enjoy that. Trying to cut back on the bad stuff...

McGriddle?.......more like Mcawful, what kind of syrup do they use?(I got overruled on a early morning jaunt w/ some buddies of mine who are waiting for some tastebud transplants, and wound up at the 'arches'), it tastes like crankcase oil and the pancake was a form of wound compress......never again

Nope, I had one myself and found it to be good! Nothing is better than the Sausage McMuffin with Egg, but a round egg (from the shell)on the McGriddles or the McGriddles alone make a tasty and quick breakfast. Personally they remind me of when I had time to sit and eat pancakes. Yet, should they be the buns in a breakfast sandwhich? That has yet to be decided by the general public.

I used to be a big fan of Mickey D's sausage McMuffin with egg, but lately most stores tend not to toast the muffin at all, but hold it within a couple of feet of a cold toaster and then finish the job of assembling the sandwich. With the muffin largely untoasted, the sandwich is lousy. What will they mess up next? Wally

Is it me or does the McMuffin have an almost bitter after taste? I haven't figured that one out and that is why I seldomnly have one. Dennis

I have them once in a while--they'd be almost healthy if there wasn't so much grease in the sausage. Hard to beat an Egg McMuffin though, cholesterol be darned.

Wow...it took four years for someone else to comment on McGriddles...that's about how long the acid reflux lasts when you eat one!!!!

I'm surprised to see a thread about this crap in the "breakfast" category.
