McPherson, KS area

I will be traveling to McPherson, KS several times over the next few months.  Can anyone recommend places to eat in town or in the area beyond those described in the Roadfood restaurant section?  Travel to Salina or Wichita is OK.

There's a Stroud's outpost in Wichita that's supposed to be every bit as good as its two Kansas City sisters.  Beyond that, not sure what to tell you.

Go to Montana Mike's in McPherson for good steaks and Neighbor's for breakfast and lunch.  They serve good burgers, Mexican fare, chicken fried steak and sandwiches.
 
Go to Bayard's in Salina for good comfort food and Cozy's for good burgers.  Go to B and C in Wichita for BBQ and Bomber for good burgers.  Doc's has good steaks and Heroe's will sell you cold drinks and good bar food.  You can watch the game there too.  You will find good breakfast at The Anchor and good BBQ at Two Brothers in Wichita.  Ty's has good comfort food too. Roy's has good BBQ in Hutchinson.  Go to Kelly's Bar in Canton for good burgers, cold drinks and fun times. Go to Renaissance Cafe in Assaria for casual fine dining for dinner serving fresh seafood and good steaks.

Tsores, I couldn't add my endorsement to the Rennisance Cafe strong enough. It is a real gem for supper on Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights. Be sure you make a reservation.

The Breadbasket in Newton is great. Go on Friday or Saturday evening for a German buffet.

The Breadbasket in Newton is excellent.  Both lunch and the weekend buffet are well worth having.
 
In Salina - the Cozy Inn (think White Castle or Krystals) is a local institution.  Bogey's, 1417 S 9th has burgers, hot dogs, shakes, etc. that are much better than most.
Rennaisance Cafe in Assaria is in an old school house gymnasium.  White table cloth dining where, at least, I would never have expected to find it.
 
Hickory House in Smolan is also in a former school house and serves a bbg buffet.

The Main Street Deli in McPherson is definitely a must-hit if you are going to be in town.  I have tried the Kriebels BBQ out by the highway and came away unimpressed.
