Was watching a Blue Jays game and saw a commercial for the McLobster. I guess it's in season.

Because I just know this picture will get everyone's juices flowing for their next McRib, I present you an uncooked, unsauced, unadorned McRib in it's rawness.

...tried the BK clone yesterday. Great sandwich for a thin $1.00.
And comes with onions!
Do you have these in your area or is it a West coast thing?

There's national outrage over this. I can't believe people are really surprised. On-Cor has that frozen family-sized rib patty entrée that we get regularly for about $3.50. You put them in the over for 50 minutes and they're not bad.

I like to toast up some hoagy buns in the over and melt some provolone on them the final couple of minutes.

Man, I haven't had those in a while and now I may to go buy some of those...

My wife gets pissed at me because she occasionally goes there to get a wrap and I refer to them as "McCraps".

So what's the meat made of?
Pig innards and plenty of salt. Typically, "restructured meat product" includes pig bits like tripe, heart, and scalded stomach, says Whet Moser at Chicago Magazine, citing a 1995 article by Robert Mandigo, a professor at the University of Nebraska. These parts are cooked and blended with salt and water to extract salt-soluble proteins, which act as a "glue" that helps bind the reshaped meat together.

I usually have about one per season. The article suggests that I may have been overindulging. Message received.

McDonald's announced today that McRib won't be a national release this year, but rather left up to individual franchisees if they want to serve it or not.

I agree with Michael.  It is just a sandwich and the taste is a bit better than OK.  It might have been better if they had named it something else?  I think folks buy it expecting a true rib which it ain't.  It is just a sandwich just like balogna is  a sandwich.  Like Michael, I only have had one.
