Memphis in March, 2011

My husband had a bowling tournament so we didn't have time to do everything we wanted, but we sure had an awesome time!
Our first stop was the Landmark Arcade Restaurant

The "Elvis" Booth

The "Rainmaker" Club Sandwich. He said it was one of the best he's ever had

I had the "Famous Arcade Burger" and it was delicious. All of our meals were served with a small side of homemade Peach Cobbler : )

Hand battered Chicken Fingers with homemade Honey Mustard, this was on the Kids menu

The Famous "Elvis Special"....Grilled Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich. It was really good

I had a chocolate shake with my burger

Off to Graceland!

Went to Beale Street that night......

ate at Dyers....very good food

Next morning went to Bob's Barksdale for breakfast....I can see why it is a must on the list of many, the food was some of the best I have had in a long time!

A worn out booth seat is always a good sign in my book : )

Happy faces from happy bellies

Bob

Off to see the Peabody Ducks!

Christian with "The Duck Master"

Enjoyed some before dinner dessert at The Peabody

German Chocolate Cupcake

Red Velvet Cupcake

Kooky Canuck Restaurant....home of the Kookamonga 71/2 pound Buger Challenge.  TOTAL CALORIES: 12,387!!!! We didn't have time to eat here this time, next time FOR SURE!

Drove to Tunica to have Sunday Brunch at Paula Deen's Lady & Son's

My favorite picture ever!

The food was delicious!

Gooey Butter Cakes

    Boop-
Thanks for the very enjoyable report.  I especially like the photo of Christian with the Duck Master.  So glad you went to Barksdale, which is a real underrated gem.

He did very well in the tournament, their team is currently in 3rd place (which is great for such a big tournament) thanks for asking!

Picture of Bob's Barksdale have me wondering...back in the 80's and early 90's when I lived just down the street from the Barksdale, I would swear it was called the Barksdale Cafe. From the pictures, nothing else has changed, tables even look familiar. I'm guessing Bob took it over and changed the name...a little.

I remember it well....and I wish that Buntyn was still open. Best yeast rolls ever!

The food was delicious! They offered a brunch selection during the time we were there, but I couldn't manage breakfast and lunch foods so I just opted for the lunch fare.

That is a mayo packet, guess I could have turned it over...hahaha.  I does look rather dry in the picture, but it was really delicious.
