Menu for Palm Sunday

I don't make anything special. Good Friday is fish, Easter Sunday is lamb. Just interested if anyone has anything special for Palm Sunday. Thanks.

Not that I can recall as a kid.We always ate fish on Fridays, even if it wasn't Lent.Easter for us was always a ham most of the time.Maybe a nice roast beef or chicken would be good.

I'm not Catholic but when I was young my grandmother would make (she lives in Dallas now with her daughters and my grandpa) nopales, shrimp patties, and some kind of little corn thingies--best way I can describe them is when you bite into a corn kernal, this little bit comes out, that's what it looked like. It was really good. Nowdays at my hubbie's grandmother's house on Easter they kill a baby goat and barbecue some of the meat, then they mix the goat's blood with the rest of the meat and cook that all together. I posted that on the Mexican Food section. Gross sounding but interesting flavor. they call it fritada but it's basically cabrito meat in blood.

We don't have a special or traditional menu, but now that you mention it I am think of something in keeping with the theme - Hearts of Palm salad with fresh shrimp perhaps? Please note that the above suggestion is just that, in fun, and in no way intended as sarcasm or sacrilige.

Our Baptist church will host a Sunshine Breakfast. Most likely pancakes and such since the men will be cooking. I won't be there for that. I will give the money that would have bought my breakfast though. That goes to a charity.
