At least they found an old method for cooking a burger. You don't suppose they might have spent some time at Louis Lunch, do you?
Of course, if you want to vertically grill your own burgers:
If you've ever wanted to toast raw meat, your prayers have been answered with a 2000-watt, stainless steel steak grill. It grills the meat in a vertical position, much like your toaster, so all the delicious fat and juices drip down to the bottom so you can slurp them up later with, oh, a piece of bacon.
Why spend $220 on a job you can do with a grill pan? This electric steak toaster will leave neither "smoke nor smells" in a kitchen. (Because absolutely nobody can tolerate the horrible smell of cooking steak.)
Also, it only takes half the time to cook the meat, since you won't have to turn it over. Since it usually takes about 10 minutes to grill a one-inch thick piece of steak, what will you do with that extra five minutes?
