I'll be spending a week in Salt Lake City, Sandy actually. Does anyone know of any good Mexican restaurants. There have to be lots. How about BBQ?

I think the local favorite there is BBQ seagull. Not real sure, though.

Can't recommend either of those two places, but I did have a great sushi experience at Ginza located in the downtown.

Scone's (the fried dough kind) and Navajo Taco's are the cuisine of choice in Salt Lake, although I heard there is good Mexican there too. For fantastic scones with honey butter, Johanna's Kitchen is the place to be www.johannaskitchen.com However try Navajo Hogan for their fantastic navajo tacos and mutton stew www.navajohogan.com

Thanks, wandering. I checked out the websites and both of those look very promising. I will definitely try them. Anything else, anybody...

I just put up a report on SLC here: extramsg.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=37 Lots of pics, too. Red Iguana seems like the clear leader for Mexican, but the town is aching to be explored. Wish I could make another trip to do so some time.
