I hope the Lowlife gets snubbed by the teams. There are too many good talented players out they for anyone to have to accept a loser like Vick. Both he and his subhuman brother deserve No sympathy for their chosen lifestyle.

Do you consider him lower than the steroid boys of baseball?

NYPIzzaNut Do you consider him lower than the steroid boys of baseball? Absolutely! They don't hurt humans or animals That said, He's done his time, and except for his working with the animal rights group Humane Society of the United States, an animal rights organization that has absolutely nothing to do with animal shelters and rescue (despite what so many uniformed people believe), he has a right to make a living.

I hate the steroid boys though because they ruined the reputation of baseball for all time. Just like Pete Rose did.

Pete Rose really only hurt Pete Rose's reputation, not the rep of the game of baseball. I don't think steroids will ruin the reputation of baseball for all time.

He's desipicable but a good quarterback. Would you want him to be on the team that you're playing? It's kind of the cut off your nose syndrome. However he's probably a little rusty.

Pete Rose has the HOF veterans pitted against one another and steroid era is also going to be a controversy for the foreseeable future - asterisks are being considered and the dialogue is getting very divisive. It is a no win situation for everyone.

As far as I'm concered players using steroids or HGH are doing nothing more than making themselves better at their jobs. An athlete who doesn't do everyting he or she feels is necessary to improve isn't doing the job.

Pete Rose and Michael Vick chose to do the the things they did for their own greed/ amusement, and had no concern for anyone else. They need to learn, but good ole PR isn't doing that too well, and I doubt if MV's contrition is real.

I think Pete had a compulsion for gambling - I am not sure he had it all his life or what treatment he got for it. I know living in Cinci since 1977 I kind of got sick about hearing about it all the time for years and years.

NYPIzzaNut You mean cheating is OK? I mean that athletes use whatever is available to compete. Had these things been available in years past, they would have been used by those who went before.

I think the Yankees are about the biggest disgrace in baseball ever since Steinbrenner took over, and they top the list above. I loved them growing up in NY when their starting lineup included Mantle, Maris, Rizzuto, Bauer, Collins, Martin, Berra, and McDougal. Since Steinbrenner their luster has disappeared for me. Win or lose.

Michael Hoffman NYPIzzaNut Ken Griffey Jr and a host of others beg to differ. What makes you think Griffey and those others just haven't been caught? I have followed his career since he hit the bigs as have most baseball fans. As far as the others we shall see but I think if their names have not been linked by now there is a good chance they followed a straight honest ethical path and have nothing to be concerned about as far the steroid era. With all the tell-all books and publicity on this subject I think virtually all is in the public arena by now.

I am not happy with the state of baseball and I am most especially not happy with the Reds. I am amazed at their ineptitude. But this thread has drifted off subject and I am the primary culprit so I will bow out of the chat.

Back to the subject of Vick... I love animals, especially dogs ( one of God's greatest gifts to mankind, IMO ), and if it were up to me, that worthless lowlife would still be behind bars, where he and others like him belong.

I read that the Steelers and Patriots were co-favorites to sign Michael Vick. There is absolutely no way the Steelers would ever sign this guy.

As long as Donte Stallworth is walking the streets and playing football, Michael Vick is automatically not the biggest disgrace in the NFL.

I love dogs with a passion, to think, which I try not to, of what he and his other thugs did to the defenseless dogs is simply unforgivable, to hell with Micheal Vick, I wish him homelessness. I couldn't watch my beloved Redskins, a first, if he were on the other team!
