Middletown (OH) Food Memories

Dunno if this is the right place to post this, but I'll post here anyway, as 1) none of these were chains (I could be mistaken, though), and 2) they're not current restaurants (dang it). Anyway. Does anybody remember any of these establishments? Pizza Inn - a place on the south end of Breiel Blvd. (located in a strip mall where both Kroger's and Hill's - remember Hill's? - used to be) wherein my parents and I ate a LOT of pizza. Between this and Cassano's, this was pizza as far as I was concerned when I was a kid. This place, sadly, fell by the wayside once Domino's came to town. Jad's Roast Beef - like Arby's, only better, located on Grand Ave., just before Breiel Blvd. T's (or Tee's) Restaurant - A diner type establishment located in the vicinity of the post office. I remember not liking this too much when I was a kid, but my parents said they served the best pies EVAH. The Waffle Iron - Very hazy recollections about this one, save for the name and the fact that I remember liking it very, very much. Squire Jack's - a fish and chip shop (or "shoppe"), similar to Arthur Treacher's (both existed in Middletown pre-LJS), located in the small shopping plaza on Central Ave. that used to house the lamented Capozzi's.

You're in Dayton. Is Stump's still operating there? They opened one in Columbus about 20 years or so ago, and it was a fantastic supermarket -- heck, even the food in the restaurant was good. Unfortunately, they shut it down after about five years.

You know, I'm not sure. I'll have to look into that.
