While Milwaukeeans consume lots of sausage, going out for some just isn't very popular in town. We have/had this reputation for beer, brats, bowling and the Brewers but other than McDonalds, I'd be hard pressed to tell you where to get a brat in a restaurant. Beer Bellies has brat patties which I don't consider brats. We do have a few Vienna Beef shops but there are more popular destinations. Coney Island's location was in the go to area for Mexican food.

It appears that this was the real deal. Truly great, dedicated hot dog purveyors are far and few between. The classic places are dwindling, and the new joints, slow to rise, often die in infancy. History trudges on, even for hot dogs. Sorry I never tried the sauce. Hope he has a great retirement. The Bear
