I like any Roadfood thread where the Bronz Fonz gets his own category!

In Milwaukee for thick Deli's, I certainly like Jake's the best.  Always very moist, tender and delicious.  In a sorta bad part of town but outstanding.  In a way the location and that taste of food although different reminds me of Doe's eat place in Greenville, MS.

Great list and comments. Welcome to Roadfood hifimono. I certainly would add Maria's Pizza to your list. While all lists are subjective, there are those that feel Maria's may be a better pizza than Zaffiro's if you like a very thin crust. I'd add Mama Angie's Italian Deli to your sub list and Glorioso's makes a nice sub too. If you'd care to add Banh Mi's to your sub category, there several I'd also recommend.  Again, welcome aboard.

              A couple of brew-based ideas:
on Sundays you can do three microbreweries by boat:
              http://www.riverwalkboats.com/Sunday-Brewery-Tour.html
And up on the north side is the wonderful Sprecher Brewery http://www.sprecherbrewery.com/tours.php (which has delicious and unusual soda pop in addition to beer), and is only a stones throw from the even more wonderful Kopp's custard. http://www.kopps.com/

I can't hardly go to Milwaukee without going to Balisteri's for thin crust pizza. My favorite of the two locations is the one on North 68th. Have only been to Zaffiro's once and it was great also. Thanks for suggesting Maria's I will add it to my must try list
