I just bought my daughter some fun ice cream: "Mini Melts" which are like mini-nuggets of icecream, smaller than 1/4" each that are scooped up fresh into cups and served with a spoon. She got Oreo flavor, there was also banana split, coffee, cotton candy, choco, etc. It tasted fairly good, but all the teeny tiny nuggets fell out of the sides of the cup when she put the spoon in. I think we also had these once in Washington, DC when we were at a festival. $3 a cup, today. Is anyone else familiar with this "novelty item"?

Hugh, Just checked your suggestion re: Dippin Dots, and, yup, that's it. "The Ice Cream of the Future" (to quote their tag line....) I guess we'd better be up on "The Future"!

I tried these a few weeks ago while at Myrtle Beach and they were the biggest waste of money I have spent in a long time. I didn't care for the texture, the flavor or anything else about them.

I've tried DippinDots and if it's "Ice Cream of the Future" then, in the future I won't be ordering much ice cream. Dan
