Here is a situation where a "mobile bakery" is not only making regular restaurants mad, but also mobile carts.

check out these links:

Not sure what to think.  I would be upset if someone was able to just pull up in front of my cart and sell the same thing that I do.  I think they have the right to sell their product, but not sure if they are going about it in the right way.

it's always amazed me that there are so many concession trailers at county fairs and mardi gras and they all seem to make money.   But honesty,  if somebody wanted a coffee from Starbucks or other specialty coffee, do you think a coffee vendor selling cheaper coffee  would have any effect on them?

In this economy, it happens everyday.  Our Starbucks gets killed by the local competition.  It might be an issue of quality, but those locals have cheaper prices and do much more business.

I can say the same for restaurants in the area.  We have one that used to be the busiest and most expensive in town.  We had several more less expensive restaurants open and now that place is a ghost town.  In those cases, it isn't quality but how much the meal costs.
