Didn't think it could happen, a BBQ item I've never heard of...Moinkballs, an Italian meatball wrapped in bacon, some rub, glazed, then smoked, anyone ever try them, supposed to be a great appetizer!

Here are a couple of recipes: quote: Ground beef, Texasbbqrub, Chipotles and Tabasco mixed together, rolled and wrapped in bacon. Then smoked on the Big Green Egg with some Cherry wood and dunked in a BBQ-Sauce, Honey, Jack Daniels and Tabasco mix when they became crispy. and quote: Moink Balls, seasoned with Dizzy Pig coarse BBQ Rub and later basted with Roadhouse BBQ Sauce mixed with Jim Beam, Tabasco and Honey. Basically, meatballs made with your favorite meatball mix or meatloaf mix wraped with bacon seasoned with BBQ rub and smoked. stolen from here: http://www.barbecuebible.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=163102] Moink =====> Beef=Moo ====> Pork (bacon)=Oink=Moink Balls stolen from here: http://thebbqgrail.com/2008/08/03/a-new-wsm-moink-balls-and-a-wedding/

Glad you cleared that up. I was scratching my head in wonderment, wondering, if I had ever seen a Moink.

So you're telling me I didn't make these up one day bored at a pool party? My boyfriend will be so disappointed! Mine weren't smoked or glazed, though, just wrapped in bacon and grilled after I used the same rub we were having on the ribs.
