We're sepnding two weeks in Emerald isle and I was wondering if anyone knew any good BBQ places around the area. We stoppped at Wilber's on the way down which was not as good as the last 2 times I stopped. We'll give it another try on the way home but just wondered if anyone knew anyplace worth trying in the interim.

I've spent a week in Emerald Isle for each of the last three summers and there is no decent BBQ to be had in the area. I cannot recall whether there is any BBQ in the area at all, come to think of it.
Go to Big Oak for a Shrimpburger, instead.

New Bern is probaly the closet place to find anything similar to BBQin that area,Its called Moores BBQ and watch out where you go,you dont want to take a wrong turn in that Town.

There is a White Swann location at Atlantic beach now....very good

I used to stop at Moore's In New Bern all the time going to Greenville. They make good BBQ.
