coffee...coffee...coffee......used to be a Gevalia man...love the various types....but the price and shipping costs did me in......so much cheaper to buy PREMIUM coffee elsewhere......and Gevalia is available at our local markets...in cheaper larger amounts than the expensive half pound boxes they shipped...whatever I drink, however, no cheaper brands for me......It's my one vice, quality coffee, please.

Interesting thread, lots of different approaches to AM.

Me, a glass of juice, usually orange, grapefruit, or V8 (if I'm "under the weather") followed by two cups of hot tea, plain. Except in warm weather months I substitute unsweetened iced tea for the hot tea. I don't drink coffee, never liked the taste.

I've got a Keurig machine, and have tried a LOT of different coffees, and have some near winners, some losers and some okays. I'd like to hear opinons please! I like full flavored but not super dark roast. Starbucks is pretty good, but lacking something, Green Mountain breakfast blend not strong enough, etc. Looking for something in a medium roast that is substantial!

I love my Keurig and the variety it affords since everyone and his brother is now making k-cups. I like the Green Mountain Breakfast blend, almost any variety of Tully's and of late I bought one of those gadgets that lets you grind your own and insert it into the machine. Works fine lasts a long time.

I like the Newman's Own Medium Roast extra bold K-Cups.  I got a big box of them for Christmas and it's turned into my new favorite.

OK, I'll 'fess up.  When I lived in Alaska we would go over to our friends' house at 9AM to watch football. ( 4-hour time difference) And yes, we would start the kick-off with Bloody Marys.  And we'd drink Bloody Marys at half-time and at the end of the game too!

OK, if we want to talk about game days, then I too always start the day with a Bloody Mary at 9:00.  Always at the Blue Dube just North of the OSU campus.  We usually have about 3 before we head to the Shoe.

Never understood the appeal of those K cups some of you talk about......the cost per serving is so high...and the ones I have tasted don't overly impress....Ok, so you can have dozens of varieties...very expensive varieties......If I want variety,I'll get half pound packages of new blends.....if I find a winner,I'll get larger amounts...I drink 2-3 mugs a morning.....K cups is a windfall for the coffee companies....pay by the single cup...premium price...I'll make my 12 cup pot of premium for less than half the price,I bet!!!

I'm not a very big coffee drinker. I like a cup at times...but just a cup. I don't need 12 cups. I like the Keurig it's fast easy done. The My K-Cup insert allows to to make any coffee your heart desires...if you don't want the regular K-Cups...

I love my Keurig.  I don't really care about the cost per cup, since I don't have that many.  I like coffee strong and dark.  My favorites are Double Black Diamond, and if looking for a caffeine kick, I choose Jet Fuel from the Coffee People.

Since I am no longer in Alaska (and therefore no excuse to drink Bloody Marys at 9AM) I grind Colombian beans every morning and make 2 cups for MH and 1 for me.  Sometimes followed by orange juice.  A small glass of spring water while waiting for the coffee to brew.

When I was a little girl, I wanted to drink coffee with my parents.( I also wanted a martini at night, but that didn't happen!) Mom gave me a cup of half coffee, half milk. I pretty much still drink it that way. In summer, I like plain iced tea. Lleechef and I will meet for Bloody Mary's one of these days. Breakfast in a glass....lol!

If it's the winter, something to warm up the blood.  A Hot Toddy with milk or some Caribou (maple syrup/port/whiskey liqueur) on ice.  A hot chocolate if I don't want to drink.

In the summer, just juice or water.

Thank you for the tip, I bought a box, and now it's going to be my go-to brand, very good indeed!

I drink one cup at home before heading to the office, so I don't think the price per cup is killing me! If I were to make a 12 cup batch, it would cost me a lot more in waste than making one k-cup every morning. Old coffee sucks. Also, mine came with a basket so that I can use any coffee and the same price you buy it for. I use this when my relatives in CA bring me Peet's!

My morning routine is set in stone.  Glass of water.  Start the coffee machine.  Take a shower and dress.  Have some coffee.  Have some grapefruit juice because that's what I really wanted all along.  Every.  Single.  Day.

I have come around to mixing my 24 oz OJ with the Wally World brand of a No-Cal Fruit Drink, usually a Cherry Lime mix. It gives me something to sip for awhile in the AM.

While I like Coffee ice cream and Mocha flavored drinks, I have never been a coffee addict, or even much of a drinker. I grew up on POSTUM (LDS early years), but seldom do any hot drinks these days.

I remember when POSTUM was a regular advertiser on national radio programs. Never tasted it, and I don't think I ever knew anyone who drank it. Of course, I was but a mere child at the time.

Lately I've been grinding our coffee fresh each morning, using whole bean Colombian from Costco, but I keep looking. Will find Kona at a reasonable price. Noticed a big difference since we've been grinding our own.

I just heard my Mr Coffee beep so I'm about to have a cup of hot coffee with Big Train no sugar added vanilla powder.

No coffee 2 days in a row and I get a migraine.  Have had a migraine in almost 10 years after this discovery.

On a regular morning, out comes the old Moka Pot and Pilon or Bustelo espresso for one or two Cuban cafecitos, then the rest of the pot for American-style coffee. On a weekend or when I have the time, I grind and use an AeroPress to brew Colombian Supremo beans from our local Lucky Goat coffee roaster. Sometimes pom-blueberry juice, too.

Either way the morning picks up speed after that!

My father is an odd duck, he will brew the coffee the night before, leave it in the pot, and then nuke it in the morning.  He has done this since I was a kid, he always liked the day long brewed in the morning sitting on the burner all day taste, but then again he is a smoker all his life too so his taste buds are shot.

I start my day with a couple of cups of Gevalia coffee. The bean varies from day to day, but I like their product, (even though Kraft has since bought them out). Can't start the day without a cuppa. Got hit with a storm related power outage a couple of weeks ago and, after we managed to get the garage door opened, we had to make our way to the coffee shop for our morning fix
