I just sold last week Elk dogs and buffalo Dogs
they really went well, Continential meats mixed them and packaged them in al natural casings. they were seasoned just right.
not to strong and the buffalo was very lean, and so is the Elk.

this was a test I conducted in aspen colorado.
anyone else selling different kinds of Hot Dogs ??????

I can't answer your question, but....since you're in Aspen.....Do they still have a crepe cart and a small fast food joint called "The Big Slice" right next to the ballfield in the middle of town?

Yes they do, I travel all over the state and I go as far as yellowstone park.
I saw the crepe cart once he bought one of my dogs and said it was so good.

When I make biz trips to Alaska, there's a vendor in Anchorage that sells a variety of game-dogs. I made it my personal goal to try every one of them one trip. Elk, buffalo, caribou, and one other one that excapes my mind right now. Came back and told my co-workers about them, and now whenever any of us shoot up north, that vendor is hunted down like he was in-season game himself. He even gives me a discount because by word of mouth I've brought him a good 30+ other semi-regular and regular customers.

I would love to see more hotdog carts offering something unusual. I know though it can be difficult to judge how to stock and what will sell.
