I did a Roadfood search and located no mention of this place, so let me ask; was Mr. Tony's limited to Michigan? I would not have gotten through college in Kalamazoo without Mr. Tony's in the 1970's. They made a killer "Torpedo" with real roast beef, mozzarella cheese, a tomato based sauce with a little kick; all in a pita type sandwich. Onions and lettuce available upon request.

The only other Mr. Tony's I recall was in Royal Oak, MI; at 14 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue. Anyone else remember Mr. Tony's?

I have been wondering about Mr. Tony's myself. I grew up in the Detroit area and remember at least one or two Mr. Tony's in St. Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe Woods. There was also one in Ann Arbor when I started college there. I have no other knowledge of this chain.
