I think it sounds terrible apart or together but hey at least it's your creation and most people don't even think about creating anything. So good for you.

We only like McD breakfast and only when leaving early on the weekend with no time.

Our creation is this, We always have fresh sliced onion, sweet and hot peppers, and cucumber etc in the fridge so we throw some into a baggy and get Steak and Egg bagels or a Sausage and Egg English Muffin and put our little bounty on them.

It makes them taste much better.

I'm not sure which this makes me question more: Evolution or Intelligent Design.

It would have to be evolution. Intelligence seems to be absent.

yeah, that was my first thought, but in evolution, there's supposed
to be something about survival of the fittest.
Or at least "nature taking its course."
It's hard to believe evolution is at play in this case. I mean, do things evolve crappier?
See, I'm in the belief that a double cheeseburger isn't so bad.
So, when I see it combined with chicken mcnuggets, well, then I
simply cannot subscribe to the idea that nature had anything to do with that.
Only man could create such an obscenity. Therefore, it can't be evolution.

Hence, you can see my befuddlement.

no one is being "personal." Honestly, did you expect a different reaction from a forum full of foodies?

I'll be honest, when I was in college, I'd order the two cheeseburger meal.
I'd spice up the burgers with one packet of hot picante sauce on each burger and
occasionally include the french fries in the burgers.
But McNuggets on a double cheeseburger? either your pictures don't do it justice,
or your pictures are exactly why we had the reaction we did to such a concoction.

But, hey, if you like it, buon apetito!

Personal attacks? I think not! Why do some people think that we have to "ooh" and Ahh" over everything posted here? This board is where we are entitled to post OUR opinions and I think that sandwich looks like crap! (Incidentally, so do my grandchildren and they love the hamburgers and the nuggets at "Old McDonalds's".)

Personally, I think that this creation does not appear to me as creative. It does not even look good. Perhaps the poster does not hae creative ability????

I've wondered the same thing. It's like some people's dinners they've prepared, which might taste fine, but have the presentation akin to a watercolor painting by a two year old. And yet, if we don't say, "looks great" or something positive, somehow we're offensive and shouldn't be commenting.

There you go again, you and your sidekick driving off another new poster. Why can you not abide by “if you cannot say anything nice do not say anything at all”? yup, that new poster who has been around since February.

Honestly John, do you think someone who has been cruising the boards for 8 months
will suddenly vanish because some people didn't like his sandwich?

I, for one, would hope the OP would use the criticism to his/her advantage.

For example, we gave Roosy a whole lotta teasing for her purple runza.
She's still here, making runzas. In fact, her purple runzas have become legend
                              - and some folks even tried to replicate her purple outcome.

And even if the purple runza is not a fair comparision, I think if people post "out there" concoctions
of fast food, even in the FFF, they have to be prepared for some negative feedback.
For example, if I made a "burgeritto" by putting an 89cent cheesy taco bell burrito inside a burger,
and posted the pics of the half eaten concoction, I'm guessing I'd get some negative comments,
no matter how it tasted to me.

John, how does one know that a post is offensive to one unless one reads it? I was not the least bit offended by this post. I thought it was hysterical as did my six year old granddaughter who loves chicken nuggets! If I post something that someone thinks is not in agreement with them, I expect them to respond in kind. It seems like some of the people here have real problems when someone tells what they really think. It is already an established fact that you do not care for me or my posts but hey I can deal with that just as I hope the two buck surf and turf poster can deal with my opinion of his sandwich. He may be the nicest guy on earth but I think his sandwich really looks dreadful!

Driving off? Wishful thinking on your part there, bunkie? Your problem is that you can't stand the fact that there are actually people out in the ether who do not find your food prep and finish photos appetizing and let you know it, unlike your sycophants who Ohh! and Ahh! over everything you post.

Well, if I was hungry and only had 2 bucks I would go for 2 double cheese burgers and spare the photo session.

                                          I have a better idea..

Why not a "surf and turf", and toss a fish sandwich on the burger?

                                          Not.....

I might have to make another purple runza now.....

OP, If you like it, GOOD for you. Not my cup of tea though. I might try the fish filet and burger sometime, if I'd had a couple 3.

This board is where we are entitled to post OUR opinions and I think that sandwich looks like crap! (Incidentally, so do my grandchildren and they love the hamburgers and the nuggets at "Old McDonalds's".)

There you go again, you and your sidekick driving off another new poster. Why can you not abide by “if you cannot say anything nice do not say anything at all”? I have asked before; why do you look at posts that you know are offensive to you?

Driving off? Wishful thinking on your part there, bunkie?

Bunkie, LOL. Why do you think it’s OK to call me by other than my name when you go crying to the Administrators if someone does so to you?

Your problem is that you can't stand the fact that there are actually people out in the ether who do not find your food prep and finish photos appetizing and let you know it,

Other than you and Greymo I'm hard pressed to recall those critical posts.

yup, that new poster who has been around since February.

Many have either disappeared or very seldom post, 88 posts in eight months?

That's teasing? I do not think so.

I'm sure you would from at least two people but not those who are to polite to do so.

Cool, The air it out thread.

John A., Every single friggen' dish you've prepared and posted looked absolutetly wonderful.

But for gosh sakes Man Up and buy some plates. I wouldn't take yours camping.

Desert Dog can help you shop. You've made a pretty good case that presentation isn't everything.

                                                  BUT IT IS !
