I would like to let you all know where I'm at when it comes to being a moderator.

Me personally as a mod will try to keep things here civil and family friendly, on an adult basis. I'm not a prude and I do enjoy an off color joke as well as the next man or woman. Graphic details are not needed though

When I come across the F word I'll be editing the post and sending an e-mail to the poster requesting that it not be used in it's many forms. WTF pushes my limits but I've let it stand. F&@(ing is over the top and this is the last time I'll use it here. Other forums I participate in I use it there on occasion, not here, not when I see it.

Stephen has sent us a guideline but it is impossible to put every situation into such a document. I as a mod will try to use my 49 years and 20 some years on boards as a guide.

I will use my discretion and the guidelines as that, a guide. I will consult with Stephen and The Mayor when in doubt.

Personal attacks are not allowed against anyone. Keep things civil.

MikeS.

I totally agree that we all need to be civil at all times, and I agree that the moderators are working at a thankless and necessary task.

I hope we can keep in mind that civility in verbal or written interchange requires that all parties respect the reasonable opinions of others, and that a conversation has at least two sides. I hope that our moderators will allow differing opinions to be heard on these forums, and they will refrain from using their awesome powers to delete sincerely and civilly expressed opinions.

        cheers, John

Thank you for all that you do.

I apologize for my Wendy's post that you had to edit. I was & am still angry about them changing their menu. I'll keep it clean in the future.

Well if I answered that here then I'd have to move this thread to the BBQ forum... What a conundrum.

                          MikeS.

P.S. check the BBQ forum for the answer.
