NECCO Peach Blossoms

This is a reminder for the readers that like both peanut butter and hard candy that this time of year is when you can purchase NECCO Peach Blossoms. Do not be put off by the name. These candies are peach in color but have a sweet hard shell with a peanut butter center. They do not have a peach flavor. In the northeast, they are carried by CVS.

As someone who is inordinately fond of a NECCO product (the Haviland Thin Mints), I have to say: if it's not peach-flavored, then calling it a Peach Blossom is...well, the word "retarded" comes to mind.

I find people who make sarcastic judgements "retarded".

Wow, you must despise like 85% of the regular RF posters! Regardless, can you -- or anyone -- come up with a reasonable excuse why a company would market a peanut butter candy under the name "Peach Blossom"? Even Atkinson quickly changed the name of their peanut-butter-and-coconut candies to Chick-a-Stick from the equally dorky "Chicken Legs."

I find most roadfood posters are polite and friendly unlike you sir. This is a traditional Christmas candy in the Northeast. I've been purchasing it for over 60 years. NECCO only makes it at Christmas time. NECCO does not even do a good job of marketing as the container is rather plain and not holiday festive.
