Greymo
Funniest post in a week! Glad to see you back here....any new beer that you have had lately?
Greymo,
Yes, as a matter of fact... several!
For starters, Copper Creek Brewing Co., my local brewpub, has Festivus Ale on (Festivus = "A holiday for the rest of us). Also on tap there, while it lasts, is Triple Chocolate Xmas Stout. (Gad, it's yummy!)
Down at Trappeze, I was privy to a taste-in the other night that included Highland Imperial Black Mocha Stout (2008 edition -- the last bottle!) (9.5%), New Belgium Frambozen Raspberry Brown Ale (in bottle) (6.5%), and Rogue I 2 (squared) India Pale Ale (draft) (9.2%). -- And I was able to drive home!
Last night I tried Victory Yakima Twilight Ale on draft (8.7%).
Over the last few daze, I've also enjoyed Dogfish Head Chicory Stout (5.2%), Bell's Expedition Stout (10.5%), Terrapin Sunray Wheat (4.5%), and Bell's Oberon Ale (ca. 5.2%), all on draft. As an aside, my Bell's Oberon t-shirt is so old it says "Bell's Solsun Ale" instead!
A special keg of Schneider Aventinus Eisbock (12%) was tapped Thursday. I was only able to drink one, and it took me about an hour and a half to finish it... potent stuff, that.
So there you have it -- my recent beer travelogue. -- Steven, if you wanna move this to The Beverage Forum, please feel free to do so. I'll post a notice there, though, before I wander forth.
