I'll be spending a week in North Carolina ... Looking for breakfast spots in the Durham, Charlotte, Kannapolis, and Fredericksburg,Va. areas.

In North Carolina you can't go wrong at Biscuitville. Here's a whole thread.

Nothing wrong with biscuitville, but I don't know of one in Kannapolis. Here are some places where I have eaten, and I can tell you they are good.

Libby's Pit Stop
1801 N Cannon Blvd

Glenn's Bar-B-Q
804 Central Dr

Lee's Sandwich Shop (food is great, but the place is
902 Central Dr very small)

Towel City Junction Restaurant
119 S Main St

These are roadfood type cafe places, and won't be convenient if you're just passing through, as they are in and around town. There are also the usual chains right off I-85, such as IHOP, Cracker Barrel, and Waffle House. But if you want real roadfood, nap one of those above and try it out.

Is Biscuitville similar to Tudor's Biscuit World? I see TBD's in VA & NC, I think.

Honey's, on Guess Road in Durham, is know for its breakfast. Standard and local kinds of stuff.

Foster's, on Business 15-501 also in Durham, is kind of a casual yuppie place, with an interesting breakfast selection.

The places mentioned above by SkylarOne are all in Kannapolis??
Wednesday morning (the 18th)I will be eating breakfast in kannapolis and heading to Winston-Salem.

Yes, all those places are in KTown. If you want to get to any of the roadfood places, just ask almost anybody you run into, and they can tell you how to get there.
