NSF, Used Gear, and things that go bump in the night. Sun, 08/4/13 3:09 PM (permalink)
Hi all, I hope this is an okay place to post this, there seems to be other gear related questions but I haven't been a professional in 18 years, so here goes.

My state, Minnesota, says this about NSF  pretty much everything needs to be NSF approved. Fine, but am I walking into a minefield of out-of-code equipment if I buy a used trailer here?

edit: Answered most of my own question (works just like UL markings), still I'd love to hear some tips and tricks!

Thanks!

    DogOne,
Welcome to Roadfood. Only one person in Minnesota has the answers to your questions and concerns, as getting pre approved and licensed in Minnesota goes beyond NSF certification, as you've already discovered. Contact Mark Palm, owner of Chameleon Concessions in Plymouth, MN at 612-889-9095.

        Thanks CSD!

Drop me an e-mail or give me a call on this one. I've trained students from Minnesota that had to go through that licensing process for carts and trailers. If you're ever in Shakopee, stop in and visit Mark Peterson one of my grads who owns: www.sammyspeeddog.com

Are you street vending in Minnesota at a permanent location or doing events? The rules, regulations, permits, and licenses are not the same for events as they are for street vending.
