Has anyone tried doing nachos on there cart? I am in the process of getting licenses and such, have my cart. Trying to establish my menu for the HD check. Figure I am already gonna have chili and nacho cheese, I have a extra bin free. Why not nachos!!!

Keep in mind that some places like where I am only allow pre-cooked foods on a cart.

Well the chips I would be using are straight from the bag, so is the chili and cheese.

What are you thinking for toppings? Like Jalapenos, Diced Onion, Diced Tomato, Sour Cream, Chili & Cheese? I would think you probably have most of that as your Hot Dog condiments except the sour cream. What will you serve them in and how much do you plan to charge? Sounds like a good idea, especially if you have a lot of teens coming to your cart. Good Luck let us know how it goes.

My buddy tells me that in texas (where he is from) they have a specialty called 'the frito pie'. You just open a bag of the frito chips and ladle in some chili or you could use cheese. Give them a spoon and serve it up!

I've sold a few. I may be doing it wrong. I break two of the 1oz bags and dump them in a cardboard boat and top with chilli, I don't have nachos sauce on the cart. I add cheddar cheese and let them put whatever else they want on it.

I do Frito pies. I take a 1oz bag of fritos, pop it open and top with chili, cheese, diced onions and jalapenos. I sold quite a few at a day time event a few weekends back but none at my night time/bar spot. I don't even sell chili dogs at night so I've taken both off my menu. They're definitely a high profit item and well worth the money. I was getting 3 bucks a pop for Frito pies. Don't get to elaborate as it will increase your food costs.

My chili dogs I was selling were covered in chili, cheese, fritos and onions. Fritos make everything awesome.

Open up a bag of Dorito,s or Frito's , put yer Chili and Cheese Sauce, and whatever else you serve on it and you've saved the cost of a dog.
