Name That BBQ Joint

I would like some input on some clever, catchy BBQ names
for my BBQ side business that I am planning on starting
very soon here close to the Dallas Texas area which I
hope some day will become a full time business.

Thank You All

You'd have to be REALLY good if it was a glatt-kosher BBQ place!

Certain Key Words are a necessity in some titles and locations.

A BBQ place in Texas needs to include as many of these as possible ! The more, the higher the draw of passing traffic.

    1. TEXAS/TEXAN/TEX-

    2. Mother's/Ma's/Mom's/Mama's-

    3. Pit/Smoked/Wood-Fired/Old-Time

    4. Pick-Up/Truckin'/RailStop/-

    5. Dual-Names-(example) JimBob's, BillyRay, or Intials- G W's, A J's...

    6. The descriptor "style" should be in the subtitle somewhere... New Jersey Style is a favorite () Memphis Style...

    7. 'Hot' is a Must include term!

Actually, Jeff's suggestion of Papa Dog's BBQ sounds good to me!!

    Good Luck !

    Dearfolk,
Well, they could opt to open a Sephardic-style glatt-kosher eatery with some form of paella (eliminating shellfish, of course!) and Spanish-style food and call it OY VAY MARIA'S.
Or they could stick with the Arabic-style vegetarian wraps and call it Feel Better Felafel.
Or perhaps they'd like to use Schticktoitiveness.
Needless to say, I won't think of going there for pulled pork and Brunswick stew....

    P. S. Now I'm glad to know how to spell "glatt-kosher"!!! Up to now, I had been using only one "t", and any golfer would know to keep more than that handy.

    Papa Dog,
I agree wholeheartedly with Jeff and Mr. Mayor here, but with one small addition possible: since you're in East Texas, you could call it "Papa Dog & Them's BBQ" (or, less grammatically correctly, "Papa Dog's & Them's BBQ"). I mean, surely it ain't just your'n.
It surprises and amazes me that I've never encountered any restaurant named anything like "Mama & 'Em's Cafe"!! (Of course "Mama" here is pronounced "Mommer.")
My late Mommer would winch if'n she read me postin' like 'is.

    "Pareve For The Course"

I think I love you, Ort!

    Simply Q

    Dem Bones

Lone Star BBQ (which is probably already taken somewhere in the state)

Put up a bunch of flat screens and make it "All Sports Barbeque"

    Good luck on your venture.

I am embarassed to say, It looks like we ALL forgot where he is going to locate when we pushed the "Pork" BBQ in the title. While lots of places in Texas do serve a lot of pork in various forms...BEEF is the leading BBQ Meat in many Texas Joints.

if it is a permanent place like on "main street", you could call it "that bbq place on main"

hey have you tried "that bbq place on main?"

answers it all in one question.

    it's bbq
    it on main
its that bbq place on main.

then again. I called my hotdog stand "Fat Tony's" and im not fat or tony.

Well thanks for all the suggestions here people! But I was wondering what if I had chosen a different username here instead of PapaDog. So lets put on our thinking hats again...no pig names please....I do some pig cooking but as noted its mostly beef in TEXAS....so lets see how great minds work without using PapaDog. Don't get me wrong people I like the PapaDog BBQ idea too but I would also like some more feedback with names that do not include PapaDog in it.

Once Again Thank You All For Your Suggestions and Input...I Do Appreciate It
