Hmmm, I had a bowl of oatmeal (with bananas) at John O'Groats last Thursday and although I didn't use a fork, I sure didn't notice that they only had 3 tines. Doesn't look familiar to me, but I only guess if it's been somewhere I've eaten.

It's driving me mad...I need to know...the only thing about John O'Groats is there's no blueberry pancakes on the menu (assuming that's what they are)...but they do have blueberries so it could of course be. ...maybe Fuller's Coffee Shop? Mayor Al where are you? Tell me...

Oh Marlene! That is so funny, my Grandma always said " It's not real oatmeal unless you can eat it with a fork!" brought back a happy memory... As to guessing the place; I'm just going by the pics. in the review : fork, knife, dark colored coffee cup etc. all seem to match. BUT our esteemed Mayor seems to generally campaign in the eastern half of our great nation,so...? I could very well be WRONG!!

ETR- You hit it with your second guess. The pancakes and bacon are at the Springdale Cafe in Springdale, Utah...also known as the Bumbleberry Inn !

Sweet That was a tough one. That place looks amazing, I would love to eat there. It was tough because they were Bumbleberry not Blueberry pancakes. Sneaky, but... If it had to be on the 'reviewed' list, I am sorry for not following the rule. It was included in our trip report on the Utah National Park circuit we made a couple of years ago. Springdale is right outside the entrance to Zion National Park. I recommend this tourist focused cafe for the Berry treats and the fantastic scenery more than a big meal-deal. That plate of pancakes with 2 pieces of Bacon was about $8.00. That is more than my usual breakfast budget.

I'm a very unhappy roadfooder right now. Thanks to some major bungling on the part of AT&T, I've been offline for the past seven days, and this caused me to miss out on that Wilton's Candy Kitchen photo. Finally one that I probably would have guessed first, as this picture shows, and I get cheated out of my big chance. Thanks a lot, AT&T!!
