Nothing as interesting as your incident,  I posted a photo from The Elegant Farmer, despite the fact that TTM posted one from the same place just on the previous page.

To the best of my knowledge, they do not serve red herrings.  But if they did, if would most likely be the best red herrings you have ever had!

 I am stymied by the white cardboard boxes.  I SHOULD be thinking that they are pie (cake, doughnut) boxes, but my heart wants them to be chicken boxes...
 since I am most likely the only one playing, maybe you could give me a tiny clue?  
 I love this game.

Sorry 6star.  While Spanish is most definitely the main language spoken at this place, it is inside the USA.

  I'm going with  "Juice n' Fruit"  in Tucson.  the neon in the reflection seems to match, but it seems that this SHOULD be in Los Angeles...I don't know why.

Yes, ma'am!!!!!  Nicely done, Dawn!  Those seasoned pans really do make a wicked good crust on those Sicilian slices.

Normally you would be correct, but this time I put on my big boy pants and ate the pickles.  The hot pickles were excellent!

That's actually not true.  It is a well-known fact that after they were rescued from the island, MaryAnn set up a chain of southern cooking restaurants.  She would sell trinkets in the lobby of the restaurant while people were waiting for a table.  They were going to make a spin-off series, where MaryAnn would have all of these wacky adventures - but at a different location each week - people complaining about whether "real" maple syrup was being served with their pancakes, others arguing whether or not the portion sizes have gotten smaller over time, and they even had one episode where someone came in to apply for a job - and, get this, they were gay!  Ha!  Hilarity ensues.  Viewers, of course, would never be able to tell the difference, because all of the locations were the same.  They would just start each episode with one of those cartoon-y maps.
 
Fortunately, Sherwood Schwartz came to his senses and realized that no one could relate to that kind of far-fetched tale.

Coconut cream front - chocolate cream back left and pecan.  A hint - we went further south for barbecue prior to this.  The same name used for Manhattan could apply here.

Looks like the Blue & White in Tunica, MS. Did you go to Abe's for barbeque?

Blue and White it is.  Yes, barbecue at Abe's.  Blue&White for dessert on the way back.  The barbecue was pretty good, but we all commented on how different it is from Memphis style barbecue.

I believe that "good" barbeque is what you grew up with. I grew up in Clarksdale eating Abe's, so to me that is the best. Next time, ask for barbeque potato chips. They split open a bag of Lay's and pour on a little barbeque sauce, You won't believe how good that is.

I saw several customers grab bags of chips, open them up and cover the chips with the excellent Abe's bbq sauce.  Next time, I am going to try it myself!
