When one's intentions are to actually drive interest and attention to (in this case) the restaurant with links to their website I really don't think they would object...but I do see your point from a purely legal standpoint. There obviously is no malicious, profit or other intention involved. We apparently have slightly differing views on this and I understand where you're coming from...I will keep that in mind and refrain from that in the future.

I would appreciate it if you would no longer post a picture of food at Restaurant #1 as being food from Restaurant #2......................................it really is confusing.

EatingTheRoad, Consider this your official welcome to Roadfood. You were having waaaaay too much fun for a new guy, plus you are very knowledgable. That means one of the "Roadfood Experts" had to do their time honored duty of slapping you down. We have a saying for these situations. Ignore the "Little Man" behind the curtain. They are few, but they are vocal.

Thank you joerogo. That's very kind. I do understand their disagreements and can respect them. I'm not here to piss anyone off and am just trying to have fun, expand my knowledge, chat with and help others out. Obviously other see things in different ways but I'm no stranger to human nature. I don't let it bother me...I know what's acceptable to myself and the people that matter...and that's all that matters to me. Thanks again!

I'm surprised. I thought even you would know that stealing copyrighted material is not a very nice thing to do. Then again, perhaps it was too much to expect.

BTW- AHI, You are correct that is/was the Tybee Island Crab Shack. My version of the copy and use of materials by others-- 1. Ask the originator of the work for permission to use it. (AND/OR) 2. Give a printed credit to that originator in your post/thread/weblink. Without either or both of the above you are out of line...and Rogo so are you for supporting the activity at the expense of the person or persons who took the time to create the material in the first place. I once posted a photo taken by TJ, of a Hot Brown Sandwich from the Brown Hotel in Louisville. His version looked a heck of a lot better than mine did. I noted in the post that it was his photo and this seemed to prevent any possible (if there were to be any) negative feelings about use of others stuff. It takes just a minute or so to give credit where credit is due, and it says a lot about the character of the user.

This calls for desperate measures.... " _______ is a modern rectangle with booths and carhop service if you don't want to budge. It's a hot spot in the summer and on weekends, but when we dined here off hours, things were slow. The waitresses were clustered in a corner, engaged in an animated discussion about "Elephant Man disease" and lymph nodes. It was most educational and informative,at least as good as listening to Mel Tillis on the jukebox." Taken from my Goodfood book 1983. Thanks J&M!! Oh, and yes, this place is still in the reviews. Peace everyone, Dawn

You're certainly in the right region...but it's not either of those. ...I just checked...it's actually not as hard as I thought considering what other photos of the place there are.

You know, the one where I say that I support illegal activity on the internets. I can't seem to find it anywhere on this thread. I know that you appreciate a good "Brew-Ha-Ha" with me, but please, do it by the Private Message System(PMS for short), I would hate to see this thread derailed off topic by such nonsense.

I'm trying to copyright the term "Mr.Joerogo". I can see from the buzz that just uttering those words causes, that this should be a winner. Haven't decided what I want to attach that marketing term to though. I was thinking either a ride at an amusement park or maybe a new line of Buicks. There's always the fallback feminine hyigene product that needs priority placement on aisle 7 waiting in the wings. "I always carry a spare Jorogo in my purse for those unexpected moments"

No it's "Wax on, Wax Off". You should never Wax Off, before you Wax On, remember that Oh, and never mix chemicals with alcohol. And never run with a pencil in your hand or tug on Supermans cape.

I'm almost afraid to return to this thread....A little too hostile for morning reading. However the trivia geek in me just can't leave it alone!!! Since I seem to be the only one playing, I'm guessin' again!! How 'bout Jiggers Diner in Rhode Island? they seem to serve butter on the side and they put powdered sugar on the pancakes....If this is wrong, please post the answer, I just can't look thru anymore breakfast pictures!!! Peace Everybody.
