Natchez Trace Roadfood

My wife and I are planning to drive the Natchez Trace all the way from Natchez to Nashville, Tennessee. I understand that the Trace itself is a National Scenic Road and so there won't be much if anything on it's actual "right of way" but it passes near several small towns and through Jackson and Tupelo. Anybody have any suggestions for places close to the trace worth visiting? Thank y'all for your help!

My trip down the Natchez Trace between Tupelo and Natchez found but one place right on the Trace and that was the French Camp. It was an interesting stop but nothing special about the food. That report and more with photos is here:

Don't speed.  Law enforcement looks closely, especially around towns.
